Operating Area: Greater Manchester & surrounding areas, United Kingdom

1. Terms & Conditions of Service

By requesting a quote, booking an installation, or using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions provided by Mountvision ("we", "us", "our").

1.1 Quotes and Booking

  • Estimates: Initial quotes provided via website forms, telephone, or message are estimated based on information supplied by you (e.g., TV size, wall type, bracket choice).
  • On-Site Variations: If physical site conditions differ from those communicated (e.g., unexpected wall composition, specialised hardware required, hidden structural issues), we reserve the right to adjust the final price. Any cost changes will be explained and agreed upon prior to starting work.
  • Confirmation: A booking is finalised only once a date and time window have been explicitly confirmed by both parties.

1.2 Customer Responsibilities

To ensure a safe and efficient installation, you must ensure:

  • Property Authority: You own the property or have explicit permission from the landlord/property owner to allow drilling and modifications.
  • Clear Working Space: The installation zone is clear of furniture, personal belongings, and fragile objects before our arrival.
  • Working Equipment: Any customer-supplied electronics (TVs, soundbars, media players, cables) are tested and in full working condition.
  • Utility Disclosure: You inform our technicians of any known hidden pipes, gas lines, or electrical wiring in or around the intended mounting zone.

1.3 Mounting Brackets & Hardware

  • Mountvision-Supplied Hardware: All brackets and fixings provided by us are guaranteed to be heavy-duty, fit for purpose, and rated for your specific display and wall type.
  • Customer-Supplied Hardware: If you provide your own bracket, you are responsible for ensuring it matches the TV's VESA specifications, weight, and wall type. We reserve the right to decline using a customer-supplied bracket if our technician deems it unsafe, damaged, or improper. We accept no liability for failure or damage resulting from customer-supplied hardware.

1.4 Insurance & Liability

  • Insurance: Our active Public Liability Insurance covers all installations undertaken by Mountvision, including cover for accidental damage.
  • Hidden Utilities: Drilling into walls carries inherent architectural risks. While we use electronic pipe and cable detectors, we are not liable for damage to hidden pipes or cabling that were improperly installed, non-metallic, or undetectable by standard scanning equipment.
  • Wall Integrity: We assess wall strength to the best of our professional judgment. We accept no liability for structural failure resulting from pre-existing wall decay, substandard plasterwork, or poor original construction.
  • Liability Coverage: Where Mountvision is found liable for property damage caused by our proven negligence, our liability will be covered under our Public Liability Insurance policy, subject to the policy's terms and limits.

1.5 Payment Terms

  • Completion: Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of the installation on the day of service.
  • Accepted Methods: Cash or direct bank transfer.
  • Ownership: All hardware supplied by Mountvision remains our property until the invoice is paid in full.

1.6 Cancellations & Call-Out Fees

  • Notice Period: Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your booking.
  • Aborted Visits: If an installation cannot proceed upon arrival due to customer absence, lack of property access, unviable wall structures, or incorrect information provided, a standard £49 call-out fee applies to cover travel and time costs.

1.7 Guarantee

  • Workmanship: We provide a 12-month guarantee on our mounting workmanship and Mountvision-supplied hardware.
  • Exclusions: This guarantee does not cover physical damage caused after installation, customer modification, wall alterations, overloading, or failure of customer-provided brackets or electronics.
